2025 Dorchester Train 4 Life Fitness

Date: Mondays starting August 18th-November 10th (No session Sep. 1)

Volunteer timeframe: 6:00pm-7:00pm

Location: Inner City Weightlifting

Volunteer Role: encourage and motivate athletes to stay engaged during workout, demonstrate exercises by explaining techniques, modify exercises as needed, assist with equipment including weights, mats, and exercise balls, and addressing safety concerns and taking necessary steps to provide a safe environment.

All volunteers must have an active CLASS A form on file.

2025 Summer Burlington Train 4 Life Fitness

Date: Saturday, August 23rd-November 15th (no sesison 8/30)

Volunteer timeframe: 1:00pm-2:00pm (first session will be 10:30am-11:30am)

Location: D1 Training

We are looking for volunteers who can commit weekly to this 10-week program. Athletes benefit from a consistent volunteer to create trust and develop a strong bond with. If you are unable to commit to all weeks, please email volunteer@specialolympicsma.org with the dates you are unavailable.

2025 Fall Plymouth Basketball Skills Center

Dates: Thursday, September 11th-October 30th

Volunteer timeframe: 6:00pm-7:00pm

Location: Manomet Elementary School

Volunteer Role: Helping to facilitate basketball skills and drills for athletes (ages 18+) with and without autism/intellectual disabilities. No experience is required.

2025 Fall Wellesley Young Athletes - Level 1 & 2

Date: Fridays starting September 12th-November 14th

Volunteer timeframe: 4:00pm-6:00pm

Location: Upham Elementary School

Volunteer Roles:  Guiding children with autism/intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 12, through a variety of exercises to help development their motor and social interaction skills. Level 1 (4:00pm-5:00pm) will consist of athletes ages 2-7, while Level 2 (5:00pm-6:00pm) will consist of athletes ages 6-12 with a basketball focus.

2025 Fall Beverly Basketball Skills Center

Dates: Wednesday, September 17th-October 22nd

Volunteer timeframe: 2:00pm-3:00pm

Location: Greater Beverly YMCA

Volunteer Role: provide personalized support to athletes aged 16+, guiding them through introductory basketball skills and familiarizing them with the sport through stations and drills.

2025 Fall Springfield Pickleball Program

Date: Thursday evenings from September 19th-October 23rd (no session 10/2)

Volunteer timeframe: 5:00pm-6:00pm

Location: Springfield Jewish Community Center

Volunteer Role: assist athletes with pickleball skills and drills and play in games per lesson plans from lead instructor.
