Meet the 2025 Hall of Fame Class: Scott Fraser

June 25, 2025

For nearly four decades, Scott Fraser has been a staple in the Special Olympics community. Scott's involvement began in his youth, and over the years, he has become a role model for countless athletes, showing them the ropes. His athletic achievements are incredible, but it's his spirit and leadership that truly set him apart. A significant chapter in Scott's life was his 30-year partnership with Lauren, a fellow Special Olympics athlete. Together, they were pillars of support and advocacy within the community. When Lauren passed away in 2018, Scott faced one of the most challenging periods of his life. Yet, it was the very community they had both cherished that became his anchor. Leaning on the support of Special Olympics, Scott found strength and solace, allowing him to channel his grief into a renewed passion for the mission of inclusion. Honoring Lauren's memory, Scott has dedicated himself to spreading the message of inclusion far and wide. As an Inclusion Ambassador, he is always ready to engage in conversations about Special Olympics, eager to share the organization's values and the profound impact it has on individuals and communities. His willingness to speak to anyone about the power of inclusion emphasizes his commitment to encouraging understanding and acceptance.
